Just as I start to head home, I spotted a garage sale down the street from the shop. I figured I had 5 minutes to spare and maybe I'd find something interesting. Sure enough, under the many layers of toys and worn out kids clothes, I spotted a small little dresser in need of a little TLC.
I knew I couldn't carry it home alone (especially with a freshly painted pedicure!), so I called Garrett and he came to help me. For $15, we walked away with this little beauty.
The dresser is skinny enough that we still have plenty of room to walk past it when we come in the house.
I want to change up the handles to something a little sleeker and I was going to paint it, but now I am torn. I kind of like the finish now that I have it home. If I do paint it, I'm looking for something subtle (no bright red or super dark colours!) Right now my colour scheme through the whole apartment has been slowly evolving to a combination of green, blues, tans and browns, so I'd like to stick to something that compliments those colours.
I've thought of doing something fun like this grey and white striped dresser, but maybe it would be too busy in our small space.
I'm leaning more towards a green like this, but maybe a little more subtle.
I just love the way it makes the handles stand out a little bit, and it would go great with the decor in the other rooms.
I could also do a baby blue, or almost a subtle blue wash over white.
Maybe something like this?
But probably my favourite colour out of all of them is this muted turquoise blue colour.
So what do you think? Keep it as it is, or give it a little paint?
