Very simple and unstructured, but still fun and beautiful.
Ontario Greenbelt. We wanted to get as many local flowers as we could. You could also go to your local florist or even the floral section of your grocery store and look for things that fit in with a garden theme.
Spread out, we had quite the haul for only $24!
We also clipped some of these tall purple flowers, with their unique symmetrical leaves. I have no idea what this is, but it looked great in the arrangements.
For greenery, we plucked some fern frons.
Here it is at about 1.5 times higher than the jar.
Another lily on the second side.
And finally a hydrangea on the third side.
A piece of fern alongside the hydrangea.
Now fill in the holes with some of the smaller wild flowers.
Now all the stems are all the same length and will stand up better in the jar.
And here is a finished centerpiece!
I found it really hard to decide which were my favourites...
...the pink and white large lilies?
Or the delicate lace-like hydrangeas?
Or maybe the soft pink roses. I'm not usually a rose person, but these were so small and cute.
